Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the unethical act of using another person’s ideas, processes, results, or words without giving proper credit to the original author and source. Cipta Abdi Cendekia Journal upholds a strict policy against plagiarism in all its forms. Self-plagiarism also constitutes a violation of publication ethics. It occurs when an author reuses substantial parts of their own previously published work without appropriate citation. This includes submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals or modifying previously published work with minimal new content. Types of Plagiarism1. Full Plagiarism o Using previously published content without any changes to the text, ideas, or grammar. This includes presenting exact text from a source as one’s own. 2. Partial Plagiarism o Mixing content from multiple sources with extensive rephrasing but without proper citation or acknowledgement. 3. Self-Plagiarism o Reusing one’s own previously published work, either in whole or in part, without proper reference. o Complete self-plagiarism occurs when an author republishes their previously published article in another journal as a new submission. Plagiarism Policy Guidelines1. Prohibition: Full plagiarism, partial plagiarism, and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited. 2. Originality: Authors must ensure that all submitted works are entirely original, and if the work or words of others are used, proper citation and quotation must be provided. 3. Redundant Publication: Authors must not submit essentially the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously, as this constitutes unethical publishing behavior. 4. Acknowledgement: Proper acknowledgement of sources and references must always be provided. Authors should cite publications that have significantly influenced their work. Plagiarism Detection· The editorial team will run plagiarism checks on all submitted manuscripts using Turnitin or iThenticate software before the peer review process. · Any manuscript with a similarity index of more than 25% will be rejected immediately. · Manuscripts with detected minor plagiarism issues may be returned to authors for revision and proper citation before further processing.
