Plagiarism and AI Use Policy
1. Plagiarism Policy
- Originality: All manuscripts submitted to PIHJ must be the author’s original work and must not have been published or under review elsewhere.
- Similarity Check: Manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). A similarity index above 25% (excluding references, quotes, and common phrases) may lead to rejection or revision request at the editorial board’s discretion.
- Forms of Misconduct: PIHJ strictly prohibitsplagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, data falsification, and image manipulation.
- Consequences: Submissions found to involve plagiarism or unethical practices will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted, and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
2. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
PIHJ acknowledges the increasing role of AI tools in scientific writing and research support. However, to maintain academic integrity:
- Permitted Use: Authors may use AI tools (e.g., for grammar checking, language polishing, or data visualization assistance), provided that theintellectual and analytical contributions remain human-driven.
- Disclosure Requirement: Any use of AI tools in the preparation of the manuscript must be clearly disclosed in the Acknowledgments or Methods section, specifying the tool and purpose.
- Prohibited Use: AI tools must not be listed as authors and must not be used to generate entire sections of text, references, or data without human oversight.
- Author Responsibility: Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content generated, regardless of AI assistance. The editorial team reserves the right to request clarifications or revisions if AI use is suspected to compromise scientific quality.
- Editorial Review: Manuscripts with AI-generated content will under go additional editorial scrutiny to ensure compliance with ethical and scientific standards.
